On the right side you see an illustration (vectorized, the original is better) by Mahendra Singh (Montréal) from his Dream Book of Mr. Pyridine. Compare it to the 16th century etching The Image Breakers (1566-1568, mirror view, left side) by Marcus Gheeraerts the Elder.
Mahendra borrows like a good poet.
