This page is an attempt to provide a listing of illustrations to Lewis Carroll’s famous epic poem “The Hunting of the Snark”.
I am to a large extent indebted to Selwyn H. Goodacre’s paper “The Listing of the Snark”, which has been included in “The Annotated Hunting of the Snark“ by Martin Gardner.
Minor parts of this list are my own humble work of research, based on the impregnable scientific method of sporadic Google™ searching.
I have added some links to various websites containing samples of the illustrations. If you are a copyright holder to any of this, who do not approve of the link from this page, please let me know and the link will be removed as soon as possible.
This page contains two tables. The first table lists published, illustrated editions of The Hunting of The Snark, in various languages. The second table, at the bottom of the page, reference other artwork attributed to The Hunting of the Snark.
